Okay. I’ve been cluttering up the ol’ family blog with my craft ideas. I’m addicted to crafting, and I like to keep track of what I’ve done. But, the family blog isn’t the place for that.

My cousin, Ashlee, has the same problem. She is a crafting rock star. Seriously. She even got her Bachelor’s Degree in Crafting Awesomeness. Okay, that isn’t really what it was called, but still. She is just amazing.

We’ve both had many people ask us to show them how we’ve made something. I’ve been asked to give sewing/crafting lessons to several people. We both have good ideas every now and then. We’re both frugal and thrifty. We both alter clothing to make it fit right or last longer. Neither one of us has time to keep up a craft/tutorial blog, but together, we do.

I made FIVE of these—one for each of my kids, and they’ve all got their names on them. I used fabric from the Boo To You collection by Riley Blake. Love it. It is so adorable! I just used some orange felt I had on hand for the names.

My kids love their bags! There is no more guessing whose bag is who’s, and the best part?! 100% washable! Wahoo!

I bought my fabric from The Ribbon Retreat. They have so much cute fabric, ribbon, and other crafting supplies. Maybe this is dumb, but I loved the handwritten thank you note they enclosed with my order. It was just so nice!

Overwhelmed

I am overwhelmed at how generous you all are. I asked for crafters and people to help me with the boutique to raise money for Tasha. People I haven’t talked to in years have volunteered to help. People I *might* recognize at the store have brought things over for me to sell in the boutique. People who have never met Tasha are doing what they can to help her out. People I have known for years are offering to help and people I’ve only known for a short while are too. Preschoolers, kids, and teenagers are out selling stickers and coming up with things to sell in the boutique. Strangers, family, and friends are captivated by her and her story and rooting for her to win.

It is seriously impossible to type with tears running down your face. So, please excuse the typos. I am amazed at how much love and goodness there is in the world. I am amazed at what can happen when we all rally together.

You guys ROCK!!

Can’t Kick This Chick Boutique

The “Can’t Kick This Chick!!” Boutique is up and running! If you want to help out, let me know. We will be adding things as we get them. so check back often. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Tasha’s family.

You don’t have to be a crafter to help out. My kids are going to be selling their artwork. If you sell anything like Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Scentsy, etc… we would love to have you in our boutique; even if you just want to donate a portion of your proceeds to the Brinkerhoff family.

We are in the process of setting up a place to purchase gift cards for them for gas, food, etc… They will have to travel for Tasha’s treatments, so they will have a lot of travel expenses.

Please help us raise money for Tasha. The world is a happier place because of her, and we need her to stick around longer!!

We put together an online craft boutique to help out Tasha Brinkerhoff in her battle with cancer.

If you can craft anything or sell anything (such as Mary Kay, Tupperware, Scentsy, etc...)and would like to help out, here’s how it is going to work:

We will post pictures of your products on the boutique website, and if someone wants to order it, they will contact you—so we will need your contact information. You will charge them for the product, purchase the supplies to make the product, then the proceeds will go to the Brinkerhoff family. Easy, peasy, and we can all donate a little time.

We’re also going to have a place in the boutique where you can donate restaurant or gas gift cards to help the family with their travel expenses.

We’re also selling “Can’t Kick This Chick” vinyl car stickers for only $5.00. 100% of your purchase will go to the Brinkerhoff family. If you want one, give me a holler!!

Can’t Kick This Chick!!

Five years ago, we moved into the most amazing neighborhood. All of our neighbors helped us move in, came over to introduce themselves with plates of cookies and brownies and kids for my boys to play with. This neighborhood is home. It is warm and welcoming, and houses the most friendly, loving, people in the world.

The Brinkerhoffs are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. They have been wonderful neighbors and great friends. I can honestly say that I love their entire family. I still haven't forgiven them for moving... :)

Their youngest, Tasha, is a firecracker. She is gorgeous. She is spunky. She has the most contagious smile. And she has cancer. Again. Only this time it is Stage IV Melanoma.

She can fight this. She will fight this and she will succeed, but she needs all the prayers, love, donations, and support she can get. Let's do what we can to help her out.
